Privacy Policy — Tick ID

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Tick ID ("the App") is operated by Vladimir Lukashov ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the App handles your information. The App has no accounts and no login, and we do not collect your name, email, contacts, or location, and use no advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind.

Photos you submit

What you tell us about the bite stays on your phone

After an identification, the App asks how long the tick was attached. That answer is never sent anywhere. The risk assessment is calculated entirely on your device, and our server is never told that a bite occurred, how long it lasted, or what the resulting risk level was. The server only ever sees a photo and returns a species name.

Technical data

To protect the service from abuse, our server temporarily processes the network request's IP address for rate-limiting. It is not used to identify you and is not sold or shared for advertising.

Purchases

The App offers an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To validate purchases the App uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous purchase receipt and a random identifier — never your identity. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Not medical care

Tick ID is an educational aid. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease, it is not a medical device, and it does not replace advice from a qualified clinician. Because we hold no health records about you, there is no medical history for us to store, share, or lose.

Children

The App is not directed to children and collects no personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy; changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
